Templin and Jurney Get Honorable Mention Weekly Nods

FOREST, Va. -- Junior Jordan Templin (Ferrum, Va./Franklin Co.) and first-year Troy Jurney (Camp Lejeune, N.C./White Oak) were named honorable mentions on the ODAC's weekly honor roll.

Templin finished the season as volleyball's most dangerous hitter, setting a program record and leading the ODAC in kills per set. She is the program career record holder in that category as well.

This week, she had 21 kills against Roanoke, the most by any player against the Maroons in ODAC play this year. Against Bluefield St., she added 17 in a three-set win.

It is her third time honored this year.

Jurney had a hand in three goals, getting an assist in each and helping set up another.

In men's soccer's regular season finale win over Washington & Lee, Jurney had one assist and used a dummy move to set up another goal.

In the ODAC quarterfinals, the substitute came on and faked out two defenders before putting a dangerous shot into the mixer, which sat on the goal line before being tapped in.
