Great Start Allows Men's Lacrosse to Double Up Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATYHN, Pa. -- Randolph conceded just one goal over the first 33:56 of today's contest, jumping out to a 10-1 lead in a 16-8 win.

Sophomore Andrew Risse (Annandale, Va./Annandale) scored five goals and senior Colton Wood (Chula Vista, Calif./Otay Ranch) tallied four to have huge games for the WildCats.

After Wood opened the scoring, the duo combined to outscore Bryn Athyn by themselves throughout the game, putting forward a consistent scoring effort.

Wood scored one goal in each quarter, while Risse waited until 56 seconds into the second quarter before his first goal, where he scored once roughly every 10 minutes from then on.

Senior Bobby Crosby (Bethel, Conn./Bethel) was Randolph's other multi-goal scorer, as he tallied a pair, while five more had one goal each.

Sophomore Cam Davis (Gibsonville, N.C./Western Alamance) played just over a half, allowing just one goal, making five saves.

The WildCats were successful on 17 of 18 clears and won 23-of-26 faceoffs, led by 16-of-17 by senior John John Grundy Jr. (Warrenton, Va./Battlefield) and 7-of-9 by first-year Alex Leyva (Centreville, Va./Wakefield).
