2012-13: Showed signs during the season that he is on the brink of becoming one of the better players in the league ... has a very strong serve, but sometimes is inconsistent with it ... played all of his matches at the No. 1 spot, going 3-13 on the season ... dealt with some nagging wrist injuries during the year ... went 3-12 in doubles action as a sophomore, playing every match at No. 1 pairs ... had a very nice victory on the road at Hampden-Sydney, earning a three-set win ... picked up a 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles at Lynchburg ... also won two non-conference pairs contests.
2011-12: Joined the men's tennis squad for the spring semester and immediately took over as the team's No. 1 player ... went 3-10 on the season, but picked up his first collegiate victory with a three-set thriller over Shenandoah March 13 ... also picked up singles' wins over UVA-Wise and Roanoke ... added three doubles wins as well for the WildCats ... should continue to improve after long hiatus from the game.
Before Randolph: three sport athlete during high school ... three year letter winner in tennis, one year letter winner in basketball, and one year letter winner in soccer at the Park School of Baltimore.
Personal: son of Vera and Vladimir Lyalko ... has one sister, Daryna ... born in Kiev, Ukraine ... enjoys working with computers during his free time ... chose Randolph because of its family like community ... chemistry major.
