FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Q Manglapus (Falls Church, Va./-) led the way for men's tennis with two solo victories in the Methodist Men's Challenge.

Manglapus won his singles match over Methodist's Max Mancini, but the pair lost the series 2-1 to Mancini and Teal Howard.

Against Guilford, junior Daniil Lyalko (Reisterstown, Md./Park School of Baltimore) and first-year Doug Corbett (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) each defeated their Guilford opponent in the individual portion and won as a pair 8-3.  Unfortunately, the duo got swept in the second round by Methodist.

Junior Dan Phung (Hanoi, Vietnam/International) and first-year Tuan Tran (Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam/High School for the Gifted) swept a Spartanburg Methodist team, but fell to Methodist in the second round, with Phung falling in a third set tiebreaker.
