LYNCHBURG, Va. -- In the team's final fall match, Randolph earned a 7-2 victory over Southern Virginia.
In doubles play, Randolph (1-1) earned each of the three points possible.
In addition, first-year Trevor Johnson (Titusville, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) and junior Dan Phung (Hanoi, Vietnam/International) defeated Lancaster Brown and Cooper Brown 8-5 in the No. 3 spot to complete the sweep of doubles play.
In singles, Lyalko earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Pradeep Ravisankar in the top spot.
von Seggern and Corbett fell in the next two singles spots, but the final three Randolph players earned wins over SVU (2-2).
Johnson earned a straight-set victory, 6-0, 6-2 over Brian Blocher, while Manglapus and Phung took home pro set wins in the final two singles spots.
"Winning those three doubles matches gave us the confidence and momentum and really propelled us into the singles," head coach Jamie Megginson said. "That was a great way to head into our spring season."
The team is now off for the winter, but will resume play in February.
