Softball Closes Spring Break Trip With Cubbage's 100th Win

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Randolph's offense exploded in a 17-3 five-inning victory today over Keystone in the team's spring break finale.

The win is the 100th in the head coaching career of Caroline Cubbage, who had 24 wins as the leader of Concordia before coming to Randolph.

With the team's first game of the day canceled due to weather, Randolph finishes its trip 6-1 and now has won 10 of its last 11 games after starting 0-4.

Five players had multiple hits for Randolph: first-years Ashley Dudding (New Castle, Va./Craig County) and Hunter Glavé (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry), sophomores Hannah Cook (Yorktown, Va./Grafton)  and Erin Wehrhan (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne), and senior Alexis Arnett (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial).

Senior Logan Carter (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) pitched three innings and sophomore Hannah Winfree (Yorktown, Va./York High School) threw the other two.

Randolph returns home for two ODAC double-headers this weekend against Shenandoah and Emory & Henry.

Sunday's games are designated as "Green Day" games for liver cancer awareness.
