Women's Basketball Chosen 10th at Media Day

SALEM, Va. -- At the annual media day at the Salem Civic Center, head coach Allison Nichols and her WildCats were picked 10th.

Announced by the assistant commissioner of the conference, J.J. Nekoloff, Randolph was tabbed as the No. 10 squad.

After the announcement, Nichols met with media members and then spoke in front of the Salem Rotary Club, a group that has been influential in the success of the ODAC tournament.

"I think about when I joined Randolph four years ago after playing in the ODAC, and the conference is much more competitive," Nichols said. "It's great that we have six upperclassmen now to set the tone and bring the strong work ethic that has rubbed off on the newcomers."

Randolph returns seven of its top eight scorers from 2012-13.

The WildCats have back-to-back home games to open the season on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16 as part of a four-game home stand to start the year.
